I thought that it was a very good use of class time this week when we discussed possible compromising situations. I really haven't put much thought into any of the situations previous to class, except for the drinking one because we've discussed that before. I think that it was good that we all came to a consensus on how we all are going to handle ourselves in these situations so we can be consistant.
The situation that made me think the most was what if one of your students is flirting with you. I personally am really bad at realizing when someone is flirting with me. Most of the time I just think that they are being friendly. It usually takes someone else to tell me that I was being flirted with, and even then I don't always believe them.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to figure out people's true intentions sometimes when they are talking to us. Luckily we have each other to tell us what other people are doing. :)
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed doing those what if scenarios. They were all situation that were not likely to happen, but it is good we went over them. You never know what you will run into.
