After taking the awareness assessment that Lisa and Jenna gave us this week in class I was a little surprised with the results. I scored the lowest in the emotional awareness which is a category I thought I would score higher in. I don't ever really get stressed, even when I have a lot on my plate. The way I see it is the more you worry about all of the things you have to do or about the things that are going wrong in your life the less you do about it. I tend to take things as they come and deal with them accordingly.
What significantly dropped my score in emotional awareness is that I am not comfortable taking risks. I took a class in entrepreneurship and all I really learned was that I will most likely work for "the man." I hope to become better at being able to take risks as one of my future goals is to own and manage my own organic/all natural pork operation.

Thanks for the completing the awareness assessment and blogging about it! Hopefully it helped to confirm some of the points that Jenna and I discussed with the group last week.
ReplyDeleteVery cool that you want to have your own business some day! Don't be too worried about taking risks, lots of people are risk adverse, but that doesn't mean that they can't do amazing things and take the right chances when the time is perfect (like starting your own organic/all natural pork company)!
Here is something that I agree on to an extent. I am one of those people that at times over think a lot (I know who would have thought). On certain things I will think about it so much that I start to stress about it. I will admit there are times where my stress levels are through the roof, however, I am one of those people that work good under pressure and I think that is why I stress over most things. When I stress about something I put pressure on myself usually and then I come out with some of my best work for whatever the case may be. So I think the stress part of life depends on how a person deals with stress. But I wish you luck with your future plan of an organic/all natural pork operation.
